Wild lanterns

Let the holiday magic begin! The Woodland Park Zoo shines this Christmas season with an immersive, interactive and larger-than-life light experience. Findings – Naomi Fisher: Thermodynamic Flower

This unique outdoor sculpture piece has many components. It is part of a series of works that investigate the (re-) activation of the physical body in our re-accessible public space. Fisher’s specific piece “drives the tensions between nature and capitalist dynamics through feminist theories and strategies based on surrealist art”. Do not miss it!

New acquisitions in contemporary art

Do you love the Frye? Well, your collection is growing! You can view 7 current artworks by Juventino Aranda, Rokni Haerizadeh, Rose Nestler, Mary Ann Peters, Cauleen Smith, Anthony White and Ko Kirk Yamahira. All of these works were acquired by the museum in 2019 and are now on display together.

BAM Biennale 2021: Architecture & Urban Development
