SEATTLE (AP) – Authorities say three people were killed and five others injured in a series of shootings early Sunday in Seattle.
KOMO reports that, according to police, two people were arrested in connection with one of the shootings on Sunday evening.
In a video posted on social media, Seattle interim police chief Adrian Diaz said the shootings have been linked to an abundance of guns on the city streets.
“We have to find a way to get the guns off the street,” he said.
The shootings took place in Belltown, Pioneer Square, Chinatown-International District and Cal Anderson Park.
