LINCOLN, Neb. – Employees at a Nebraska Family Dollar left their jobs and left a sign on the door to let customers know they all quit.

A branch manager quit about five days ago, reported KOLN. The last two employees in the store quit on Sunday, but not before they wrote a sign on orange construction paper: “We all quit. Sorry for the inconvenience.”

It’s the latest work stoppage service from employees of a Lincoln chain company. In July, nine Burger King employees wrote on the restaurant’s sign saying they were quitting.

Former Family Dollar employee Breanna Faeller complained about low wages and long hours at the Lincoln site. She said the store is a revolving door for new employees.

“We hired people, they went through the onboarding process, they worked for us for two days and then they quit,” said Faeller. “They would be done so it was just an endless cycle of training people and they gave up and we wouldn’t have anyone.”

A sign on Sunday indicated that the store would reopen on Monday.

Family Dollar did not comment.
