New, expanded outdoor seating options at Seattle’s Pike Place Market

With outdoor seating remaining a popular way to eat, Pike Place Market is expanding its efforts that it began last summer by installing picnic tables with umbrellas on Pike Street and along Pike Place. Additional seating on the MarketFront Deck will also be installed soon.

Guests can collect food from one of the many market restaurants and dine under the iconic clock and sign, on the old cobblestone street, or on the MarketFront deck with unobstructed views of Puget Sound.

The extended outdoor seating is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Parking is available in the public market car parks, which offer direct access to the market and over 800 covered parking spaces and nine electric charging stations. The early bird rate is $ 10 for the full day before 9:00 AM and exit before 9:00 PM. The evening flat rate for vehicles arriving after 5:00 p.m. and departing before 2:00 a.m. is $ 5. Or the low hourly rate is $ 4 an hour through the first four hours.

In addition to the additional seating, the street musicians of Pike Place Market have returned. While eating at the new picnic tables, enjoy the music, which is considered an integral part of the market atmosphere.

In May, the Seattle City Council unanimously voted to extend Safe-Start permits, which allow restaurants, cafes, and other businesses to continue enjoying al fresco dining along sidewalks, streets, and curbs without the usual permit fees that usually come with these efforts before the COVID. were accompanied by a pandemic.
