Now, Seattle Building on these efforts, the Climate Pledge Arena is an unprecedented 750,000 square foot arena designed with the future of live events in mind.

“In the Climate Pledge Arena, we have created unique hospitality spaces that enable unparalleled entertainment experiences. We referred to the history of the building as the venue for the 1962 World’s Fair, which was a catalyst for so many innovations in the city, ”said David Rockwell, Founder and President of the Rockwell Group. “We are very excited to continue this legacy of innovation in the arena with cutting-edge technology and unique interactions so that audiences can fully participate and immerse themselves in.”

“I’ve always been fascinated by this building as a native Seattle,” called Shawn Sullivan, Partner, Rockwell Group. “We are honored to have the opportunity to restore and redesign it in new ways so that people can come together and create collective memories. It is exciting to help reshape the arena for future generations.”

“The Rockwell Group has created an unprecedented experience for fans to be part of the theater and the emotions of the action in the arena,” said Tim Leiweke, CEO of the Oak View Group. “From the private suites to the Food Hall of the Mount Baker Club, we invite our guests to a beautiful world-class arena with daylight-flooded rooms that are inspired by the city that surrounds us.”

TUNNEL CLUB SUITES
The residential style Tunnel Club Suites are designed to provide a personal and theatrical connection with the game and rituals of preparing for the pitch or the ice. From each suite, guests can watch the players walk through a tunnel from the locker room. Viewed through a one-way mirror, the passageways are equipped with LED screens. Suite holders have direct access through the tunnel to their special seats in the arena.

THE PITCHBOOK SUITES
Cantilevered over the seat shell, the private ancillary suites offer space for 16 people each. Inspired by a Seattle Loft, the suites have a bar and kitchen area, which is defined by a back wall made of porcelain stoneware tiles and a sloping wooden ceiling with a view of the arena.

Additionally, on the southwest and southeast corners of the arena PitchBook suite level are two 35-foot interactive flip-disc walls that use custom software and depth sensor cameras to respond to guests’ gestures and movements. It also features other real-time visuals that respond to the action in the arena, all on an innovative display that is very sustainable. These interactive walls were designed by Rockwell Group’s LAB – the Rockwell Group’s experience design and technology studio and the team that created Illuminarium, a unique immersive entertainment space opening nationwide in cities – these interactive walls were created in partnership with PitchBook , SportFive, Climate. created Pledge Arena and Senovva.

THE MOËT AND CHANDON IMPÉRIAL LOUNGE
Five closely scaled rooms frame the view of the bowl through wide arched openings. The high-end furnishings of the private restaurant are inspired by upscale interpretations of the repertoire of traditional outdoor enthusiasts: a checkered marble mosaic floor, charred wooden walls reminiscent of a campfire, and lighting inspired by lanterns. In the direction of the bar, the design elements include leather benches and velvet curtains. The side dining areas are complemented by dramatic lighting, oak walls, and stone floors.

VERIZON LOUNGE
The Verizon Lounge is an invitation-only cocktail lounge and nightclub, a “secret” party room under the arena where owners and gamers can entertain their guests, inspired by an upscale version of Seattle historical underground passages. Plush niches surround the guests with emerald green velvet curtains and have a number of lounge areas with barrel vaults that are oriented towards a central bar. The nifty palette includes a vaulted ceiling, smoked mirrors, and brass shades that offset dark wall panels.

THE SYMETRA CLUB AND THE WAFd BANK CLUB (Bar and Craft Brewery)
The Symetra and WaDf Bank Clubs offer space for 1,300 to 1,700 guests and have a bar area that is flanked by communal areas, counters for specialties and a craft brewery. Drawing from found industrial areas in Seattle, like Gas Works Park, the club features corrugated iron, rough white oak, reclaimed brick, woven steel mesh, and slab concrete. A double-height central illuminated, backlit bar dominates the space and adds a voyeuristic element where guests can “see and be seen” from multiple levels and vantage points. The Concourse suite above is designed to look like a floating catwalk or bridge, while the craft beer area is inspired by Seattle Pike’s Place Market with bright, decorated lights and eye-catching signage.

SPACE NEEDLE LOUNGE (cocktail bar and event room)
The lounge is on the top level and offers a view of the iconic Space Needle through an oversized skylight. The intimate club doubles as an event space and features blue ombre velvet waterfall curtains set off by brass surfaces and exposed concrete.

MOUNT BAKER CLUB (Food Hall):
Mount Baker Club is a modern dining hall designed to stand out Seattle solid culinary offer. Eye-catching signage, painted concrete floors, and bespoke murals by local artists add an industrial flair. Five food stalls, including a vintage Airstream trailer, offer wine and whiskey bars, pizza, sandwiches, and desserts. Clerestory windows bring natural light and views into the club from the outside area.

The Climate Pledge Arena is slated to open to the public on October 22, 2021.
