SEATTLE – Police said a man was arrested Monday in the Seattle neighborhood of Belltown after crashing his car into five vehicles and driving it through the front doors of a store.
Several emergency calls were made around 9:30 p.m. because of a series of collisions with the driver of a white Toyota sedan.
Police said the driver first encountered a vehicle near Fourth Avenue and Cedar Streets, and then encountered vehicles on Broad Street and Denny Way, and Second Avenue and Battery Streets.
The driver finally came to a halt after crashing into the front doors of a store on Second Avenue and Denny Street.
Officials arrested the 51-year-old man who, according to investigators, was under the influence of narcotics, alcohol and marijuana.
After police took him to Harborview for a blood draw, police booked him into King County Jail to investigate multiple hit-and-run, DUI and car negligence cases.
