Seattle Kraken hires former Toronto Maple Leafs’ Troy Bodie as director of hockey and enterprise operations, Palm Springs – KIRO 7 Information Seattle

SEATTLE – The Seattle Kraken announced that it has hired Troy Bodie, 36, as director of hockey and business operations in Palm Springs, California.

“Troy brings hockey experience to our organization as a former player and has spent the past six seasons as both an NHL professional scout and a scouting director,” said Ron Francis, Seattle Kraken general manager. “He’s a great addition to our workforce as we expand our franchises in both Seattle and Palm Springs.”

For the past three years, Bodie has served as Director of Pro Scouting for the Toronto Maple Leafs and has served them as Pro Scout for three seasons.

In Palm Springs, Bodie will build the Seattle American Hockey League franchise, which is expected to play in the 2022-23 AHL season.

Bodie will work closely with the Seattle hockey division and dedicate his time to the California business side.

According to the publication, Bodie played 159 regular season NHL games with Toronto, Carolina and Anaheim. He collected 21 points (9 points, 12 assists) and recorded 172 penalty minutes.

Bodie also played eight seasons in the AHL and four seasons with Kelowna from the Western Hockey League, winning the WHL championship in 2003 and 2005, and winning the 2004 Memorial Cup.
