Weinstein A + U has made several new appointments. Philip Straeter was hired as a project designer. Straeter has a wide range of experience including citizen, educational, multi-family, nonprofit and adaptive reuse projects. He has a bachelor’s degree in architecture and urban planning from the Potsdam School of Architecture and an associate degree in art history from the Free University of Berlin. Neil Weekley is a licensed architect who comes to Weinstein A + U with over 15 years of experience in a wide range of project types, scales and designs. Weekley holds a BS in Architecture and a Masters of Architecture from Georgia Tech.

Zach Moshier, LEED GA, Associate AIA, comes as a project designer with mixed educational and nonprofit project experience. Now at Weinstein A + U, Moshier brings experience with technical details for high sustainability and passive house indicators. Moshier holds a Master of Architecture from Virginia Tech Washington / Alexandria Architecture Center and a Bachelor of Architecture Studies from Judson University. Kelsey Pierson is a project designer at Weinstein A + U. After an internship in the law firm, she switched to Weinstein A + U. Pierson holds a Masters of Architecture from the University of Washington, where she was a Valle Fellow in Copenhagen. There she researched architectural strategies for water infrastructure and climate change. Jessica Besso is Accounting Manager at Weinstein A + U. It is an integral part of the day-to-day running of the office and provides vital information to the main group as they make decisions about running the company. She has over 20 years of accounting and finance experience and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Seattle Pacific University and active CPA and CFE certifications.

Associate Ethan Martin will take on the new role of Director of Sustainability and Mass Timber. From his Portland office, Martin will oversee strategy efforts for sustainability and mass timber across all 13 regional offices. Such efforts include DCI’s commitment to the SE 2050 Challenge, which aims to achieve Net Zero status in all projects by 2050. Martin joined DCI Engineers in 2020 to help develop the company’s Mass Timber Division. Prior to his arrival, he was Northwest Regional Director at WoodWorks, a nonprofit lumber industry that promotes knowledge and technical assistance in commercial timber construction projects in the United States. DCI Engineers is an engineering company for civil engineering.

Olson Kundig announced two promotions. Jane Devine was promoted to Senior Project Administrator and Cate O’Toole was promoted to Senior Communications Coordinator. Devine supports some of Olson Kundig’s largest and most complex projects and works closely with the teams to ensure project plans are adhered to, documents are kept up-to-date, and information is well organized. She also oversees internal data exchange and technical communications, including managing the company’s intranet platform. O’Toole works closely with permanent leadership and project teams to develop written and narrative content, support internal and external communication initiatives, and share Olson Kundig’s work, staff, and cultural touchstones with a broad audience.

Seattle-based architecture firm Tiscareno Associates promoted Mark Stine to Principal, Vince Hoss to Associate Principal, and Bill Barton to Associate Principal. In addition, several design employees have been promoted to Senior Associates: Stacy Hansen, Kate Reef, Melissa Hansen and Stephanie Hahn-Wagner. Several others have been promoted to associate: Dylan Draves, Gabrielle Glass, Michael Willis, Steven Austin, and Greg Bishop. Mackenzie Gilstrap was promoted to Marketing and Digital Arts Manager.

Stine specializes in developing mixed-use and affordable multi-family projects and is currently working on Solera, a 686-unit mixed-income project in Renton. Hoss designs medium-sized multi-family projects and often contributes to the company’s transportation projects. He recently worked at the Mukilteo Ferry Terminal. Barton’s expertise lies in project management with projects ranging from mixed-use high-rise developments to 50-acre master plans. Most recently, he led the Beam, a mixed-use transit-oriented development in the International District, to completion.

Stacy Hansen leads public project follow-ups and works in both apartment building management and tenant fit-out management. She is currently working on Infinity Shore Club Residences, a luxury condominium project on Alki Beach. Reef is working on the company’s tenant fit-out, public and renovation projects. She is currently working on The Spark, a large, mixed-use apartment building in Redmond. Melissa Hansen leads the company’s BIM development efforts. She is currently working on The Coliseum, a major commercial renovation project in Everett.

Hahn-Wagner works on the company’s affordable and workforce-related housing projects. She is currently working on The Reserve at Portage Creek, an affordable senior housing project in Arlington. Draves’ expertise lies in interior design. He works on the company’s multi-family projects. He is currently working on The Spark. Glass specializes in multi-family design. She is currently working on Solera.

Willis acts as a project manager on complex multi-family and mixed-use projects. He is currently working on Solera. Austin is a project manager with extensive multi-family experience. He is currently working on Redmond Square, a large mixed-use, transit-oriented construction project in downtown Redmond. Bishop works on a variety of project types. He is currently working on Solera. Gilstrap leads the company’s marketing and communications efforts. She currently manages the company’s digital presence, offers, and other graphic assets.

CR Architektur + Design welcomed Tony Gosetti, AIA, NCARB, LEED BD + C, to the team in Chicago. Gosetti brings 23 years of experience in large multi-family luxury residential, retail and office developments. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology and is a Licensed Architect in Illinois and a LEED Accredited Building Design and Construction Professional. CR Architektur + Design has offices in Chicago, Cincinnati, Dallas, Denver, Detroit and Seattle.
