T-Mobile Park can operate at full capacity for the Mariners’ home game against the Rangers on July 2nd.

SEATTLE – The Seattle Mariners games at T-Mobile Park will be fully booked again from July 2nd.

The team announced the change Thursday about two weeks ahead of the expected full reopening of Washington state after more than a year of COVID-19 restrictions.

Governor Jay Inslee said Washington will lift convention size and store occupancy restrictions on June 30th. However, the state could reopen sooner if at least 70% of people aged 16 and over in Washington receive at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

For the first part of the 2021 season, the T-Mobile Park is working with limited capacity with special sections for vaccinated fans. However, as of July 2, the Mariners say there will be no social distancing or vaccine areas. Vaccinated fans are not required to wear masks, but unvaccinated fans should continue to use masks.

The first full capacity game will be against the Texas Rangers.

To celebrate the return to full capacity, the Mariners are offering ticket specials for the July 2 game, including seats at the Center Field Bleacher valued at $ 4 and seats on the main level for $ 17.76. There will also be post-game fireworks, the first at the stadium since September 2019.

After the Mariners waived fans during the 2020 season, the Mariners welcomed 9,000 fans on April 1st on the opening day with a capacity of 25%. The fans sat in groups of up to six people and were socially distant.

In May, the Mariners added special sections for fully vaccinated fans who don’t have social distancing or pod seating.
