After a season of empty seats and a long-awaited homecoming, the Seattle Seahawks are holding a week-long celebration starting September 12th to welcome 12s back to Lumen Field.

The Seahawks’ first game of the season will be played against the Colts in Indianapolis on Sunday, September 12th. From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Seattle fans can cheer for the team at Muckleshoot Plaza in Lumen Field. The game is shown on giant screens and there are food trucks, lawn games, beer and more for everyone to enjoy. Snap a selfie with the Super Bowl XLVIII Lombardi Trophy or the Super Bowl Ring (or both). The Seahawks website says, “We bring the beer and the mimosa. You make the noise. “

The next big event of the week is on Tuesday, September 14th, when the Seahawks take over the neighborhoods around the stadium. Mascot Blitz and Seahawks personality Gee Scott will appear in restaurants around Lumen Field, handing out posters for the 2021-22 schedule and “Welcome Home 12s” rally tickets. The Seahawks community team will also deliver packaged care packages to the staffed Allen Family Center.

On September 17th, Blue Friday will be back. Wear your favorite Seahawks jersey, wave your flag and go all blue to celebrate the home kick-off. Tag your photos with #TGIBF to be recognized by the Seahawks and catch a Blue Friday happy hour in Elysian Fields. From 5 p.m. the team will stock up on the first 100 drinks. There will also be live performances by Blue Thunder and the Seahawks Dancers. Plus, grab some Seahawks loot and compete to win prizes.

All of that fanfare continues through Sunday, September 19, when the Seahawks battle the Tennessee Titans at 1:25 p.m. at Lumen Field. Before kick-off, watch a special on-field pregame concert with Seattle-born Macklemore and Ayron Jones. The Seahawks ask you, “Bring back the noise, bring back the electrical atmosphere, bring back Seahawks game day.” After 630 days, it’s time to enjoy football again at Lumen Field.

While Lumen Field allows crowds at full capacity, masks are required under the new state mandate. In addition, all fans present must provide proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID test within 72 hours. More information on health and safety can be found online.

During the week of September 12-19, the Seahawks’ social media channels will feature additional freebies and exclusive prizes, including tickets to the home kick-off at Lumen Field versus Tennessee. To learn more about the “Welcome Home 12s” events, visit the team’s website.
