SEATTLE – The first annual Waterfront Block Party at Pier 62 in Seattle has been announced for Saturday, July 10th.

Friends of Waterfront Seattle will host the event from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. to bring the community back together after the pandemic.

Entertainment includes free music from the Seattle Steel Pan Project.

In addition to a beer garden, food trucks from Who’s Eating Gilbert’s Grape and Cheesesteak Madness are provided.

There will be prizes and giveaways, including family-friendly activities like caricatures, painting, and makeup.

Free parking is available in the Pike Place Market Garage. Vouchers are available at the Friends welcome booth at Pier 62.

Friends Executive Director Thatcher Bailey said, “We’re excited to invite and welcome the waterfront neighborhood to an early evening of free music, food and drink and fun activities across Elliott Bay. When we get back together as a community, Pier 62 is such an iconic place to connect with one another, with the water, with the city – and a beautiful place to heal. “
