West Seattle Blog… | HALLOWEEN: Admiral District businesses will welcome trick-or-treaters after all

Speaking of sweets … There will be something tricky or sour in the Admiral District! Right in:

The organizers of the Admiral District Halloween unfortunately canceled this year’s event earlier this month. The decision was made out of caution as no guidelines had been given by the CDC and the Covid trends were unclear. While some of the companies in the Admiral District were in favor of hosting the event, others were not. In the absence of a consensus, the event was canceled.

We received new information this week. On October 12th, Dr. Fauci admitted that Halloween events should be safe as long as they take place outdoors. With this new information in mind, we’re proud to bring this fun family event back to our community for 2021!

We’re excited to announce that the Admiral District Halloween event will take place on Friday October 29th from 3pm to 6pm! Event posters will be distributed to Admiral District Merchants this week. Children and their parents can look for the sign in the window of the participating stores and Trick or Treat!

Happy Halloween!

At least two more trick-or-treat events are planned in the business district – the West Seattle Junction October 31, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., and Downtown White Center, also on Halloween, from 3 p.m.
