Cook & Boardman Group LLC continued its shopping spree with entry into Seattle and the Pacific Northwest.
Winston-Salem announced Tuesday that it had acquired JDS Inc. of Everett, Washington.
The terms were not disclosed, as has been the case with Cook & Boardman’s 13 transactions since October 2018.
Cook & Boardman, based at 3064 Salem Industrial Drive, specializes in commercial doors.
JDS was founded in 1989 and offers products such as doors, frames, fittings and specialty products from Division 10.
The company serves general contractors and end users throughout the greater Seattle area.
JDS will continue to operate under its brand.
Cook & Boardman is a portfolio company of the private investment group Littlejohn & Co, LLC.
Darrin Anderson, the company’s CEO, said the Littlejohn ownership opened doors to acquisitions and new markets that were previously unavailable or inaccessible.
There are now 22 brands under the umbrella of Cook & Boardman.
Cook & Boardman was founded in 1955 and offers metal and wooden doors, locks, door frames and other related building components for multi-family and non-residential applications. Customers include retail, education, government, healthcare, office and hospitality.
