Live music at Fox Ridge Studio

Fox Ridge Studio is a local wine bar with a mission to build community in an atmosphere of fun and fearless creation. Part of that is their live music series with local musicians that they host every weekend. So if you want to enjoy live music with your drinks this is the place for you.

Opening ceremony of the Kraken venue

Seattle’s first season with the Seattle Kraken is just around the corner, and in honor of this, the team is launching its Community Iceplex. It’s a great opportunity to explore the facilities and enjoy public ice skating as well. Simply register online in advance.

New acquisitions in contemporary art

Do you love the fry? Well, your collection is growing! You can view 7 current artworks by Juventino Aranda, Rokni Haerizadeh, Rose Nestler, Mary Ann Peters, Cauleen Smith, Anthony White and Ko Kirk Yamahira. All of these works were acquired by the museum in 2019 and are now on display together.

Short-term Comix & Arts Festival

The actual Short Run Comix & Arts Festival is postponed to 2022, but you can still experience a unique version of it this year. The festival publishes a “Festival in a Book” and you can attend the release party at the Fantagraphics Bookstore & Gallery in Georgetown. It was made during the pandemic and features a decade of past festivals.

One of Seattle’s best and sneakiest galleries has a great show that you can only visit on the weekends. Works by Molly Magai, Tessa O’Brien, Emil Robinson, Gail Spaien, Jay Stern are currently on view. “This exhibition brings together a group of paintings that explore spaces and the features by which we know them.”

This is your chance to stroll through seven acres of brightly colored sunflowers and take home a bloom. You can also enjoy other flowers to pick along with all sorts of family friendly activities like zip lines, a chalk wagon, and even a low ropes course. It’s sure to be fun for all ages.

Bob’s Corn Sunflower Festival

Bob’s Corn Sunflower Festival invites you to escape in over 50 sunflower varieties. You can wander through the fields, enjoy photo ops, visit a weekend market, and even eat and drink. Washington State Fair

The only Washington State Fair is back this year and has plenty to do and see. As in previous years, you can enjoy rides, farm animals and all kinds of delicious food. Plus, you can hear concerts from musicians like Carrie Underwood, Salt-N-Peppa, Sublime, and more.
