The castle-like Tudor has a huge terrace to enjoy the surroundings and the view.

This stunning residence above Elliott Bay in Seattle was built in 1900 in the monarchical style of a British Tudor. You could be the next to call the castle-like Magnolia Way West of 1706 your kingdom for $ 2 million.
The house impresses on many levels, its size is only one: there are 4,290 square meters, with four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The opulence of the original design lives on in the ornate fireplaces, massive exposed beams, wooden floors and paneled walls, pointed ceilings, and stone and brick accents.
But along with that 121 year old architecture is something more modern, an addition created by Ralph Anderson of Seattle. Anderson, both a modernist and a conservationist, is credited with (among other accomplishments) restoring the Pioneer Square neighborhood in Seattle and along First Avenue in the Pike Place Market Historical District. His work appears across Washington, including the newer wing of this house.
The surroundings of the house are equally great. Located on 0.41 acres in Seattle’s Magnolia District, it borders the Magnolia Greenbelt and is a short drive from Smith Cove Park and downtown. The view is of Elliott Bay, the city skyline and the mountains beyond.

The Tudor detail has an almost mid-century modern appeal – a marriage of two great style movements. Skylights add natural light to the warm wood tones.

The house is multi-level, with several flexible rooms: bedroom, study, office, family room. A balcony adds to the Tudor romance.

Here is another cave-like room with its own fireplace and water views.

Windows, doors and glass walls let the light and the view into the house.

Just the view of Elliott Bay and the Seattle skyline from this breakfast nook is worth at least a million dollars.
