According to the US Food and Drug Administration, Avanti Frozen Foods is recalling certain packs of frozen, cooked, peeled and deveined shrimp because of the salmonella potential.

According to a press release, the shrimp products – some of which were packaged with cocktail sauce – were marketed nationwide from late December 2020 to late February 2021. Avanti Frozen Foods Pvt. Ltd. recalls the article with “very careful”.
There have been six reports of Salmonella-related illnesses associated with the product, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The brand names of the products are Censea, Hannaford, Chicken of the Sea, CWNO, Open Acres, Waterfront Bistro, Honest Catch, 365 and Meijer, the FDA said in its press release.
Consumers who purchased the products will be asked to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund, according to the FDA. Consumers with questions can call Avanti Monday through Friday at +91402310260 or +914023310261.
