The Seattle Seahawks will play their first home game of the season against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, September 19, and restaurants and bars across town are preparing for a wave of dedicated 12-man fans decked out in blues and greens.
Though we’ve had to say goodbye to long-running game day destinations like Bill’s Off Broadway and Pyramid Alehouse, which closed last year due to indoor dining restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, other pubs across town are ready to welcome fans back mean.

After this popular University District bar closed last year due to indoor dining restrictions, it officially reopened under new ownership last month. Located in the basement of a 112 year old building, this pub with TVs in every room is sure to be full of husky fans. While most of the menu items stay the same for classic pub food options like mills and nachos, the new owners also added homemade meatballs and marinara and other local beer options from breweries like Cloudburst, Ravenna and Maritime.

The Australian-style tavern in Ballard, located in a former library, is famous for rugby games, but it’s also known for American football game days. Expect brekky pies, Australian meat pies with cheddar cheese and fried eggs, alongside eggs, bacon, and baked beans. Happy hour runs every day from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with plates of nachos, burgers, chicken wings, and pizza rolls for under $ 10 each.

With locations in West Seattle and Roosevelt, the Westy offers a “Premium Sports Viewing” experience with lots of beer, signature cocktails, burgers and wings. 32 Bar & Grill will open this fall at Seattle Kraken’s Community Iceplex, featuring pub grub from veteran restaurateur Mick McHugh and 17 HD monitors to watch all the hockey action on. The 5,000-square-foot sports bar overlooks the Starbucks Rink, where the Kraken training and Smartsheet Rink are, will also display Seattle hockey memorabilia and unique Kraken art. With the Kraken’s first game scheduled for October 8th in Las Vegas, we expect an opening sometime. Stay tuned for details.
