When you think of bodegas and kiosks, you usually don’t think of Seattle.

Business leaders Joey Burgess and Tracy Taylor want to change that with their newest company: Big Little News.

“Having kiosks, newsagents and bodegas on our streets is a metropolitan imperative for us,” said Burgess, who is a firm believer in the power of print media and also happens to be the owner and operator of Queer Bar, Cuff Complex and The. is forest.

Big Little News is Capitol Hill’s newest print hotspot specializing in magazines. They offer over 250 foreign and domestic magazines as well as illustrated books and other stationery and goodies.

In addition to books, the store sells beer and wine, as well as several other soft drinks.

Burgess and Taylor have also introduced a Big Little Subscription Box filled with surprise items from the shop. Each bi-monthly box has a unique theme and contains an exclusive magazine title, special snacks and stationery and / or gift items. Boxes cost $ 35 every two months and can be purchased in-store or online.

Big Little News is currently open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
