KING 5 Announces “Beneath the Surface,” a Special Series in Collaboration with Climate Pledge Arena and the Seattle Kraken

SEATTLE – On Sunday, October 17th, KING 5, in collaboration with the new Climate Pledge Arena and the Seattle Kraken, is launching a special series of events entitled “Beneath the Surface”. Kim Holcomb and Paul Silvi from KING 5 will host the six-week series, which airs Sunday night after Sunday Night Football and the 5th quarter.

“So many exciting things are happening in Seattle right now, especially in the Climate Pledge Arena,” said local program director Lindsay Sieverkropp. “Between the Seattle Kraken, upcoming entertainment, and brand new dining experiences, there’s something for everyone. Our team can’t wait to share these stories with our viewers. “

In the series, Holcomb and Silvi will delve into the stories behind the new arena and Seattle’s first hockey franchise. Viewers can expect interviews with local entertainers, insights into the new restaurants and nightlife in the arena, stories about the community impact, and other fan experiences surrounding the Seattle Kraken. Some of the topics that will be covered are:

• What is the best way to get to the arena by public transport and where should drivers park?
• Head to the bars and restaurants partnered with Kraken and Climate Pledge for pre- and post-game fun.
• Meet the team behind the Seattle Kraken and the arena, from play-by-play announcers to players and the architects who designed the arena.

The series is an extension of KING 5’s special coverage of the Seattle Kraken and Climate Pledge Arena, which is unmatched in the market.
