Purposes now open for Seattle Southside Chamber’s 2021 Workforce Discovery Lab

Applications for the Seattle Southside Chamber of Commerce’s Workforce Discovery Lab 2021, presented by the Chamber’s Success Foundation, are now open.

This FREE program is for all high school students in the Seattle Southside area and focuses on preparing and exploring a variety of post-secondary education opportunities right at home.

Over five days, participants can look forward to developing skills to improve their chances of success in any professional setting, as well as exploring local internship and career opportunities in their own backyard.

Students who meet all program requirements will receive a $ 500 scholarship on behalf of the Success Foundation.

Details:

WHO: Students who will attend grades 9 to 12 in autumn 2021

WHAT: Develop skills, explore careers, and make money

WHEN: 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., August 2 to August 6, 2021.

WHERE: In person at the Seattle Southside Chamber of Commerce office (2nd floor SeaTac City Hall – right next to Tyee High School)

Students receive a $ 500 scholarship to successfully complete the week-long program. Places are limited and students are encouraged to apply by the end of June.

* This program is intended as a personal camp in the Seattle Southside Chamber office at SeaTac City Hall. Mask requirement and social distancing required.

** The Friday 6th August course will be postponed 1 hour earlier from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for a special excursion.
