Seattle detectives hunt woman who tried to snatch 2-year-old boy from pregnant mother at park

Seattle authorities are hunting down a purple-haired woman suspected of grabbing a pregnant woman’s hair at an airport, knocking her to the ground and snatching her two-year-old son away before the Good Samaritans, who witnessed the broad daylight kidnapping attempt Boys rescued from his kidnapper.

The woman, whose identity and whereabouts are unknown, was pictured in multiple photos released by the King County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday with dyed purple hair and a neon pink shirt, gray and pink athleisure pants and a pair of black and neon pink Sneakers pictured a hand.

Authorities say she is the same woman who grabbed a two-year-old boy when he was holding his mother’s hand in SeaTac’s Angle Lake Park on Tuesday afternoon. The female suspect “tried to escape with the boy after he had thrown his mother by the hair,” said the sheriff’s office.

The 10-acre lakefront park is south of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

Good Samaritans rescued the boy and reunited with his mother, authorities said. The suspect walked out of the park and then boarded a bus on the metro. The boy was not injured and his mother, who is seven months pregnant, has been examined at a nearby hospital as a precautionary measure, the sheriff’s office said.

The Serious Crimes Division of the King County Sheriff’s Office is seeking public assistance in identifying the woman now wanted for attempted kidnapping and assault, as “the safety of the community is a top priority for King County’s MPs and detectives Has”.
