SEATTLE – According to the Seattle Police blotter, a man was eating a business lunch on Wednesday when another man walked by the table, grabbed his phone, and ran away.
The victim’s phone case also contained his ID and business credit card.
Officers responded to the call to investigate the theft when the victim was able to send the location of their phone to a nearby homeless camp.
Officers and the man found the thief who still had the man’s phone when he was handcuffed.
After being told he was going to jail, he tried to escape and bumped an officer in the face with his head.
The firefighting guard went on to say the officers held the subject on hold with minimal force until more officers arrived at the scene.
Seattle Fire was called after the subject claimed it could not breathe.
The suspect was sent to King County Jail for assault and theft of crimes.
The restored cell phone was irreparably damaged and the man’s ID and business credit card were still missing.
