Transitions

By Andrea H. Reay

With so many companies facing workforce and human resource challenges, the Chamber also had to adapt and rotate to continue to serve the needs of our community.

In order to better serve our community, the chamber has hired new staff and carried out a structural staff change in order to be more efficient, and we hope that our staff plan will remain long-term and resilient.

First of all, welcome Samantha Lewho will join the Chamber as Executive Vice President of Membership. As a refugee from Vietnam and with deep roots in South Seattle and Tukwila, her life experience will help guide and nurture our equity work and contact with our BIPOC businesses. She received her BA from Trinity Lutheran College and was a key member of our Committee of Ambassadors. Her experience in sales, marketing and project management makes her the ideal associate to master the challenges and opportunities of the position, to both increase membership and sales, as well as maintain relationships and support program and marketing initiatives.

Second, please greet you with me Andrea De Jesus Infante Landin starting a fellowship with the Chamber to serve as our Administrative Fellow. She is a graduate of De La Salle Bajio University in Leon Mexico. As a native Spanish speaker, she will be instrumental in supporting and teaching the Spanish language, as well as providing vital administrative support to the staff as she learns more about the non-profit administration.

Finally, I would like to thank our entire team as we work diligently and devotedly to ensure a smooth transition. Thank you for your support and understanding as we move quickly and efficiently to implement these changes with the greatest possible success.

If you or your company are interested in help or support with recruiting new employees or with onboarding, the Chamber will be happy to help you! Please contact us and let us know how we can support you in meeting your staffing needs.
