SEATTLE – Force 10 Enterprises, a sports investment company owned by Lisa Brummel and Ginny Gilder, announced today that Alisha Valavanis, Seattle Storm President and CEO, joins the group of owners of Force 10 Sports Management, one of the company’s subsidiaries – an agency responsible for providing manufacturing, sales and marketing services to drive the presence and sales of women’s sports teams and -Events in the US to boost United States.
Brummel and Gilder are two of the owners of reigning WNBA champion Seattle Storm. Next Dawn Trudeau, the all-female group consists of Force 10 hoops and took control of the franchise in 2008.
“Alisha is a real talent in both basketball and business. We’re excited to have her join us as we expand our presence in the sports business, ”said Gilder.
Valavanis has been instrumental to Seattle Storm and Force 10 Sports management since arriving in 2014 and will continue to lead both organizations as President and CEO. During the executive’s tenure, the Storm won two championships in three years (2018 and 2020).
Since its inception in 2011 Force 10 Sports Management has produced and promoted a variety of events, including major partnerships with the Pac-12 to manage sales for its women’s basketball championships and the WNBA to produce the 2017 Seattle All-Star game – one Premiere for the city. In 2019, the agency ventured into the 3 × 3 basketball market by sponsoring Force 10 3 × 3, a professional team that includes Cierra Burdick, Linnae Harper, Megan Huff, and Alexis Peterson. That squad secured first place in the Red Bull Elite Division that year and then in the USAB National Championship in June.
Under the leadership of Valavanis, the agency’s client portfolio included Pac-12, USA Basketball, Seattle ProAm, OL Reign (formerly Seattle Reign FC) and the Seattle Seawolves.
