Kenneth Wilson comes in last with 47.3% of the vote.
“I’m optimistic about the results tonight! We knew this was going to be a close choice, given the frustration many people feel when they are out of the pandemic, in an economy that doesn’t work for everyone and a homeless crisis that affects too many, ” Mosqueda said in a press release Tuesday night. “I feel good about where we are with the early support we have received for action on our progressive priorities and the kind of coalition-based approach I bring to the Council. We will definitely watch how the later ballot papers are counted. “
The incumbent Mosqueda took office in 2017. She led the August primaries with 59.4% of the vote versus Wilson’s 16.2% out of eleven candidates.
As a civil engineer who runs his own consulting firm, Kenneth Wilson is a prime candidate to campaign for infrastructure issues and MyNorthwest says that if chosen, he would expedite critical transportation repairs.
