Tom Douglas, who raised the alarm about last year’s pandemic and closed all of his restaurants, is slowly retreating to downtown. The James Beard Award-winning restaurateur, who received $ 10 million from the US Small Business Administration’s Restaurant Revitalization Fund, plans to reopen The Carlile Room in mid-August and then Lola, according to management. He has also relocated his two marquee brands to the former restaurant area of the Dahlia Lounge. The downtown Serious Pie, which reopened last year, has moved to this prime property.
