There are three major events ahead at West Seattle Junction:
WEST SEATTLE ART WALK: This one isn’t just in The Junction, it’s beyond, from Alki to Arbor Heights! Thursday, from 5 p.m., it’s the next one Second Thursday art walk. Also this year there are no closed roads (usually this is the summer festival evening), but there is a lot of fun. Check out the list of venues for this neighborhood above – not just places where you can find art, but places that offer food and drink to Art Walkers. The full preview for this month can be found on the Art Walk website tomorrow.
Then on Friday and Saturday – outdoor shopping!
SIDEWALK SALE: Long before there was the summer festival (which will come back next year!), There was midsummer Sidewalk sale – and this year it’s Friday and Saturday again (July 9-10) – more than two dozen companies are participating (and we’re told there will be some pop-ups too). Here’s the full preview.
And a memory …
FORUM OF MAYOR CANDIDATES: As announced yesterday evening – on Saturday lunchtime, WSB and the Junction Association are jointly sponsoring the only preschool forum devoted exclusively to West Seattle. We invited all 15 candidates to the forum in West Seattle Senior Citizens Center; nine have RSVP’d. The best way to watch it is online as we will be streaming Youtube and social media channels as well as here on WSB; Limited personal seating will be available for some vaccinated spectators, first come, first served (doors open at 11:30 a.m. and close at 11:50 a.m.).
