Three reports in West Seattle Crime Watch this morning:

Business robbery: The police are investigating an armed robbery last night floor (WSB sponsor), the cannabis shop in 5440 California SW. According to police, this happened just before 11:30 p.m. as the store was preparing to close. According to a witness, four masked people entered the store, two with guns drawn, who said they had ordered three employees and a customer to go to the floor. They picked up phones from the security guard and a customer, tossed the phones over the counter, then stuffed cash and marijuana products into plastic bin bags, and set off. Some of the products were found in a nearby alley. The robbers have not yet been found.

BURGLAR RECORDING: One reader reported hearing heightened police warnings early in the morning in Highland Park. Here’s what it was about. Police early summary states that around 2:30 a.m., officers responded to a domestic violence incident near 9th / Trenton, but the person alleged to be causing it had disappeared. They were called back to the same apartment two hours later after the same person entered, then ran and jumped over fences to escape. A K-9 search followed – this is what the heightened warnings were about (police policy is to warn suspects that a dog is being used to look for them) – and one suspect was found and arrested.

Bicycle theft: The photo and report are from an Arbor Heights resident:

This guy came into our yard with a bolt cutter in hand and rode off on one of our bikes (he left his own bike behind). If he drives around with bolt cutters, I assume he’s looking for other bikes too. (Stolen) bike is a black Novaro Buzz.

The victim says this was reported to the police.
