LATEST KING COUNTY NUMBERS AND A DASHBOARD CHANGE: First an announcement:
Public Health – Seattle & King County adds “Likely Cases” to our COVID-19 data dashboards. This has little impact on the number of cases, hospitalizations, and deaths on any of our dashboards. This now includes people who have had a positive PCR test or a positive antigen (rapid test).
So here are the totals for tonight from the Seattle-King County Public Health daily summary:
* 107,593 people tested positive, 131 more than yesterday (this includes 4,474 chances)
* 1,559 people have died unchanged since Saturday
* 6,059 people were hospitalized, 18 more than yesterday
* 1,069,317 people tested, 1,151 more than yesterday (note that the dashboard makes the difference that they are tested people PCR)
A week ago this was 101,274 / 1,542 / 5,962 / 1,059,270.

WORLDWIDE FIGURES: 163.4 million cases, 3,386,000 deaths – 586,000 in the US See the other stats – nation by nation – here.
Vaccination clinic for students: There is one tomorrow West Seattle High School.
GROWTH STATISTICS: In King County, 72.4 percent of those 16 and over had at least one dose; 56.1 percent are fully vaccinated. West Seattle remains the most vaccinated area code 98136 – 84.5 percent of people 16 and older had at least one dose.
POST-PANDEMIC PERMANENCE? Last week this was a suggestion – to extend the pavement / roadside shopping and eating permission until next year and then possibly make the program permanent. Now it is official.
