4:11 pm: We handle this on the partner side White center now but wanted to let you know because MPs could block the 16th SW in the heart of downtown White Center and extend the closure to Roxbury: At least one person was shot on the 16th SW south of SW 98th. No arrest reported yet. Updates will follow.

4:39 pm: We continue to update the WCN report; The investigation is likely to block the center of downtown WC for the coming hours.

Several shell casings have been found at Harborview Medical Center and other apparent victims have emerged.

5:27 pm: Our crew is still on site and we expect a briefing from the KCSO spokesman shortly; we will add the update on both sides when that happens. Even if you notice a helicopter nearby, the television is off.

5:50 pm: KCSOs Sgt. Tim Meyer confirms that, as we reported on WCN, four people were shot – and he says two died. However, he did not want to confirm anything else, not even if someone was in custody. (Added – our video from his briefing 🙂
