AGRICULTURAL MARKET WEST SEATTLE: Vegetables, fruit, flowers, cheese, meat, drinks, bread, more – something new every week at the Farmers’ Market, open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in The Junction. Alki UCC Summer Food / Men’s casual wear fundraiser

This Sunday, June 20th, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Many of our neighbors struggle to feed their children in the summer without subsidized meals. Here are some suggestions for donations:

Canned foods: vegetables, beans, soup, pasta sauce, tomatoes, canned fruit, tuna, applesauce, PB&J

Packaged items: Fruit snacks, cookies / crackers, pudding, nuts, trail mix, granola, oatmeal, rice, pasta, granola bars, macaroni & cheese, pancake mix, syrup

Hygiene items: soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, lotion

Donations of casual / work clothing for men are accepted as well as NEW socks – the item of clothing that is most requested by our homeless neighbors.

Alki UCC’s summer food drives will continue on Sunday 11th July and 15th August.

FOOD COOPERATIVE DELRIDGE: Today, the third Sunday, you can shop for basic groceries at the DGC Store (5444 Delridge Way SW) from 11am to 3pm, as previewed here. Please also take part in the DGC survey if you have not already done so.

PROUDLY: Meet at Secret garden (5000 California SW) at 11 a.m. for a walk to Admiral Junction.

WEST SEATTLE TOOL LIBRARY: Open 11 am-4pm – do you need a tool to fix or improve something? (4408 Delridge way SW)

PRIDE ART EXHIBITION: As shown here in the preview, “The Divine: Beyond the Limits of Strange”= is at Nepantla Cultural Arts Gallery (9414 Delridge Way SW), open from 12pm to 6pm.

LOG HOUSE MUSEUM: Visit the Home of West Seattle History today (noon-4pm, 61st / Stevens).

WATCH SUMMER SOLSTICE SUNSET: The seasons change at 8:31 pm. Shortly afterwards, 8:45 p.m. – 9:15 p.m., join in Alice Enevoldsen online for their sunset watch for the 49th solstice / equinox.
