PHOENIX – In a shooting in Phoenix on Friday, three teenagers were fatally shot and another injured, authorities said.

Phoenix Police identified the victims as Victor Manuel Cruz, 19; Avery Young, 19; and Salvador Gomez Medina, 16, The Arizona Republic reported.
The fourth teenager is in critical condition but is likely to survive, according to KNXV.
According to Phoenix Police Sgt. Andy Williams, the shooting occurred just after midnight MST, KTVK reported.
In a statement, Phoenix Police believe two groups met in a parking lot of a nearby store to “conduct a transaction” that the republic had agreed on on social media. It is not known what was involved in the transaction.
Police said the meeting had escalated into a shootout between the two groups, the newspaper reported. According to police, more than 20 rounds of ammunition were fired during the shooting.
An adult who was uninjured during the shooting is on remand, KNXV reported.
“What I can say is that we don’t believe there is anyone else involved in the incident that we haven’t considered, so there is no known public safety threat,” Williams told reporters.
