The Four Seasons Hotel Seattle has named Michael Grande as their head chef.

Michael attended cooking school at Southern New Hampshire University before graduating with a degree in culinary arts and hospitality administration.

He has spent his career for Hyatt Hotels in various cities in the United States, including Boston, Washington DC, Scottsdale and most recently in Sacramento, where he was Executive Chef at the Hyatt Regency Sacramento for the past 5 years.

During his time in Sacramento, he was voted Best Chef three times by Sacramento Magazine and won Best Burger in the Sacramento Burger Battle.

“I’m excited to bring my country-wide living experience of making farm-to-table meals to Seattle and applying it to the great products of the Pacific Northwest,” said Michael. “Our guests expect high-quality ingredients that are carefully prepared and underline the size of this region.”

Michael is new to the Pacific Northwest and looks forward to spending time at the farmers markets with his fiancé and enjoying the many hiking trails in and around the Emerald City. Michael is also an avid reader, record collector, travel nomad, and gardener.
