Rainier Beach High not a landmark; $ 238 million replacement planned

John W. Maloney was the school’s original architect, whose design echoed many ideas of mid-century modernist architecture. Bassetti Architects designs the new multi-storey school.

Seattle’s Landmarks Preservation Board recently declined to nominate Rainier Beach High School as a city landmark.
