SEATTLE – According to a Seattle Police Department incident report, two Seattle police officers were splattered with blood – one in his eye – while dealing with an injured burglar suspect.

At 4:55 am on Wednesday, West Precinct officials were called to hear a report about a woman with bloody hands and feet. When two officers arrived, the woman immediately left.

The police said she had a large amount of blood on her hands and feet, hit her arms and tried to push the officers.

The officers arrested the woman and found that there was blood on her uniform. One of the officers said he believed there was blood in his eye.

On-site paramedics from the Seattle Fire Department rinsed the policeman’s eye with a saline solution.

He was then taken to Harborview Medical Center with the suspect, who was cut from breaking a large window in a nearby store, before going inside, according to a report.

The woman should also be tested for possible infections that could affect the officers.

Once medically resolved, she will be sent to King County Jail for investigation into assault and break-in.
