Seattle’s NEXUS tower receives prestigious Gold Nugget Award

Seattle’s newest residential tower block, NEXUS, was awarded the coveted Gold Nugget Award 2020 for its first-class design and development.

The Gold Nugget Awards – the largest and most prestigious award program of its kind in the USA – recognize design and planning achievements in the areas of community and residential design, green living, location planning, commercial, retail, mixed-use development and specialty housing categories.

From an elite pool of 575 submissions, NEXUS was recognized for its “Excellence in Architectural Design and Planning” and won the highest award in the best multi-family residential community in the category of 100 DU / acre or more.

The unmistakable Stacked Cube building is the first residential tower block to be built in downtown Seattle in nearly a decade and is hailed as a fascinating symbol of the bright future of downtown Seattle.

“Our goal when developing NEXUS was to create an upscale community of the next generation in which residents can experience more of what is important to them. It is a vertical village where urban life is being redefined and daily life streamlined to provide an optimal urban lifestyle, ”said Christian Chan, CEO of developer Burrard Properties, in a press release. “To be honored with a Gold Nugget Award is really a great honor for our entire team.”

In addition to the Gold Nugget Award, NEXUS was also awarded the NAIOP High Rise Residential of the Year Award, which will be presented on November 6th.
