Is Seattle Open?

YES INDEED! Thanks to increased vaccination rates, stores in Washington State were able to reopen at full capacity on June 30th. With a current vaccination rate of 82%, Seattle is welcoming visitors again.

The following companies can receive visitors with full capacity:

  • Interiors such as retail stores, restaurants, hotels and bars.
  • Indoor entertainment facilities such as aquariums, cinemas, concert halls and museums with fewer than 10,000 visitors.
  • Outdoor entertainment facilities such as zoos, stadiums, and outdoor event spaces.

As Seattle reopens, we encourage visitors and locals alike to be aware that there is a staff shortage in all areas of the hospitality industry, and ask for your understanding and patience with companies and employees.

Mask and Vaccination Guidelines

Washington State has reintroduced a nationwide mask mandate for all individuals. regardless of vaccination status. This includes all indoor public facilities such as grocery stores, retail stores, theaters, and entertainment venues. These health regulations apply to everyone aged five and over in indoor public spaces and at large outdoor events with 500 or more participants, including sporting events, trade shows, parades and concerts.

In addition, King County will soon require proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test in order to attend outdoor public events of 500 or more people, as well as indoor entertainment and recreational facilities and events such as live music, the performing arts , Gyms, restaurants, etc. join bars. This health ordinance comes into force on October 25, 2021. This does not apply to outdoor restaurants, takeaway customers, and places that are not primarily used as a restaurant, such as dining rooms. B. Grocery stores.

Starting November 15, Washington State will require proof of vaccination or a negative test in the past 72 hours for all participants 12 years and older in order to attend major events. The order applies to all indoor events with 1,000 or more participants and all outdoor events with more than 10,000 participants.

Incoming trips

Washingtonians and others visiting Washington from outside the state are expected to comply with current COVID-19 travel advisories from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This guide recommends travelers postpone travel until they are fully vaccinated so that they can travel safely within the United States.

If not vaccinated, travelers are expected to follow the CDC’s recommendations for unvaccinated individuals, which include pre- and post-travel testing, wearing a mask, continued social distancing, and good hand hygiene.
