Officials said a “large dump trailer” drove onto the State Route 86 bridge Thursday morning, causing authorities to close the freeway from Exit 71 to Exit 78 in Treutlen County. Engineers were on site on Thursday morning and assessed the situation, WSB reported.

At first it was not foreseeable when the lanes would be opened again.
