We wanted to let you know that we were being broken into. We discovered it came in this morning to open the store. They didn’t set off our alarm – they broke a panel on the side of our door and crawled that way.
They used a reading board from the Luna Apts to break the window. You have received more goods than we are satisfied with. But nobody was here or injured and that’s what we focus on. I thought it might be good to speak for other companies. We’re going to look for ways to increase security for fear that things in the hood will get worse.
This isn’t the first time West Seattle Runner has been hit by burglars – our archives show at least two more break-ins in 2019 and (at the original location south of Admiral) in 2013.
1:50 pm: WSRs Tim McConnell Email with this update: “SPD just called to say they found many of our items in a camp in Lake City. They collect and catalog it and will send it back to us shortly. That’s all I know right now, just looking forward to getting a few things back. We want to say that we appreciate your hard work in helping us limit our losses. “
