A flight originally flown from Tokyo Narita to Dallas-Forth Worth was diverted to Seattle on Wednesday morning due to an “unruly passenger”, according to a statement by American Airlines.

A passenger on American Airlines Flight 60 caused a disruption which, according to a source familiar to the incident, included spinning and loud noise. The crew tried to de-escalate the situation and it was decided to divert the aircraft to SeaTac to remove the passenger from the flight.
A representative from the Port of Seattle confirmed that a “reported recalcitrant passenger” was dropped off and taken into custody by federal officials. The aircraft refueled and took off at around 11:39 a.m.
According to American Airlines, there were 63 passengers and 13 crew members on the flight.
