755

Summary: If the weather conditions make a timetable change necessary, the district will communicate the decision in several ways.

Bad weather or power / internet outages

Seattle Public Schools is closely monitoring weather conditions and will notify students, staff and families as early as possible of any updates that may affect the school day.

Due to possible power / technology failures, bridge failures, damaged power lines and branches, the school bus may be delayed and the lunch menu may be changed as a result. We also ask you to be careful on your way to work or school. Please allow yourself sufficient travel time.

In determining if changes to the school schedule are needed, Seattle Public Schools officials carefully monitor the forecast and work with city and county officials to provide information on weather and road conditions.

SPS encourages families to stay informed in bad weather.
